Calev Myers immigrated to Israel from the USA in 1992. He graduated from Hebrew University of Jerusalem and became a licensed member of the Israeli Bar Association. Calev founded the Jerusalem Institute of Justice in 2004 and currently serves as Chief Counsel.
Beyond his work with the Jerusalem Institute of Justice, Calev works as a partner at Yehuda Raveh & Co. Law Offices. The firm was established in the 1940’s by Mr. Gideon Hausner who served as the Attorney-General of Israel and as a cabinet minister. Today, the firm has grown into one of the leading law firms in Israel which benefits from over 60 years of experience in the areas of civil and commercial law. The firm has offices throughout the country including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa and Beer Sheba, the four major cities in Israel, with a staff of approximately 90 employees, 16 partners, and 81 legal and administrative staff. At Yehuda Raveh & Co. Law Offices, Calev specializes in business and corporate law and has provided legal services to one of the largest R&D companies in Israel, on a daily basis providing innovative services with regards to intellectual property, licensing, joint ventures, international commercial agreements and all other special needs. He also specializes in real estate law, and project finance. He has been published in the International Financial Law Review and he currently represents many international entities desiring to invest in various ventures in Israel.
In the area of charity law, Calev serves as General Counsel to over 25 non-profit organizations in Israel focusing upon education, humanitarian needs, social justice and civil rights. He has served as Legal Counsel to the Chairman of the Knesset Social Welfare Lobby, and works together with Knesset Members and Government Ministers to carry out social justice projects for impoverished sectors of the Israeli society. He also serves as a Board Member of Friends of Barzilai Hospital, the Community of Reconciliation, The IGTC Foundation, Gateway to the Galilee Ltd., World Heritage Conservation Council and is an Advisory Board Member of Isratrade Ltd.
